Traveled back from South Carolina today, where my sister and I attended my sweet Aunt Louise’s memorial service and saw our six Jones first cousins and their families.

The people who live on this street fought this church for years to prevent this parking lot across the street from my house. Now their victory is nearly complete. Idiots. I hate this church. They don’t need this parking so I assume it is so that they can rent out parking spaces to UNCG people. I also assume that Sir Zack had a hand in them getting permission.

Flounder roulade with oyster stuffing and roasted brussels sprouts at Josephine’s Bistro. YUM.
I’m trying to find the owners of this beautiful friendly older kitten. S/he likes to follow people and play and it is very cold outside. I feel pretty sure that s/he belongs to a neighbor but when you live near a college campus at the end of a semester, you never know whether a pet has been abandoned. I’ve seen this cat twice, and I worry about her safety.

Stitching little bird tracks on the farm scroll. I dye my silk thread by wrapping it around fabric bundles. The yellow thread was dyed with broomsedge, and the brown thread was dyed with black walnut hulls.
