When I step out of my front door in the morning, this is what I see. My first sleepy reaction is that it is snowing. I regretted planting these Yoshina cherry trees almost immediately, because I suddenly became aware that it would have been a perfect place for fruit-bearing trees. BUT.
I spend so much time in the Back Forty that I miss what is going on in my itty-bitty front yard sometimes. Then I look a little closer, and a little closer.

I visited this site for the first time minutes ago. I then went on to other things and accidentally closed the site. Upon reopening the site there was a brand new post. The flowers in the Triad are beautiful, yet we often look right past them. How’s your MLS degree going?
Peace!

Thanks, Walt. I only have 3 hours to go, and I’m planning to graduate in December. Your optical illusion site is terrific!

Things are in full bloom and part bloom around here, too. It’s bursting out all over. So beautiful!

Oh! Your trees are gorgeous! I am terribly jealous - I am a huge fan of cherry trees.
I love your blog, by the way. Read it every day, and it makes me anxious to get back home and start planting.

You solved a huge mystery for me and my friend Deb. We saw these trees all over Chapel Hill on Monday, and she couldn’t remember the word Yoshina to save her soul! They are absolutely gorgeous.

Wow…I’ve never been far enough north to have cherry trees, but I’ll enjoy them from afar through you guys…they are gorgeous!

You devil. Between the text and the photos you created a great little break from/connection with the world. Brava.
